1. Introduction

MiHogar is a mobile application for iOS and Android developed by Daniel Martínez Salinas that allows users to control standing desks, wall beds and lights via a direct Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connection.

This privacy policy describes how the application handles user information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about data practices.

2. Data We Collect

The application works entirely locally on your device:

• We run no cloud servers: control is direct over Bluetooth.
• No user accounts are created.
• No personally identifiable information is collected.
• No advertising or tracking services are used.

3. Information Stored Locally

The application stores the following information exclusively on your device:

• Paired device identifiers: the serial code and Bluetooth address of each paired device.
• Authorization key: the key included in the label's QR code, required for the device to accept commands.
• Custom names: names you assign to your devices (e.g., "Office desk").
• Preferences: timed movements and application settings.

This data is stored only in the device's internal storage and is never sent to our servers. It may be included in the system backup (iCloud or Google) if you have it enabled. Uninstalling the application deletes this data from the device.

4. Device Permissions

MiHogar requests the following permissions, all for local functionality only:

• Bluetooth / Nearby devices: required to connect to and control your devices. Communication is direct device-to-device, with no intermediaries.
• Location (Android 11 or earlier only): those Android versions require this permission to scan for Bluetooth devices. The application does not obtain or store your location.
• Camera: used exclusively to scan the QR code on your device during the pairing process. No photos are taken and no video is recorded.
• Siri (iOS only): lets you create voice commands for your devices. Speech recognition is performed by Apple under its own privacy policy; the application does not access the microphone or record audio.
• Microphone (Android only, optional): only if you turn on hands-free mode, the application listens for the phrase «oye mesa» to move your table by voice, including with the screen off. Recognition runs on the phone itself, offline: audio is not recorded, not stored and never leaves the device. While listening a persistent notification is shown from which you can stop it, and you can turn it off at any time in the application settings. For this the application downloads a public speech model once (Vosk, alphacephei.com) without sending any of your data.
• Notifications (Android): only for the hands-free mode notice.
• Companion device (Android): when you turn on hands-free mode, Android asks you to confirm that the application manages your table; this lets the system keep it listening with the screen off without battery restrictions.

5. Third-Party Data Sharing

QR code scanning uses Google ML Kit, which processes the image on the device. ML Kit may send Google technical diagnostics and performance data about the library (no images or personal data), as described in its terms.

6. Security

Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, data security risks are minimal. On devices that support it, Bluetooth commands require the authorization key on the label, so only whoever holds it can control them.

7. Children's Privacy

MiHogar is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from minors. The application controls motorized equipment and should be used by adults only.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page with the corresponding update date.
